painting on the beach at fiorenzuola di focara

It's driftwood which reminded me of an animal carcass, half an ostrich maybe? Eh, I didn't want to do a normal beach scene.

There are more paintings and photos below, but to see even more pics and read about where we went and stuff, have a look at my newly created travel blog.

Hi Tammy when the pics first came up it looked just like a bird lying there, such brilliant work. Jx

Yes, it also made me think of a bird at first glance. You are excellent at watercolor, beautiful, fluid, and warm, perfect feeling of a summer day on the beach!

Yeah, thought it was a bird. Good watercolour work. Keep it up!

The photo instantly reminded me of the grey seals on he colony near my old home.
Laying on its back in the sun.

Its just a pleasent shape.

Wow, before I read what it was I thought the same, some sort of animal. I really like what you did with this. Great lighting effects and the yellow contrasts with the blue so nicely!

I have glanced at this several times when I come to look around; really thought it was a bird -- it was only this time I realized it was driftwood.
