Developing the abstract theme

It's been awhile since I did any work for my Drawing in Colour Course. I only have a few assignments left to complete, and one of the assignments remaining was to do a piece of abstract art from a still life or a landscape. I enjoyed using my coat so much as a subject for my inspire me thursday entry this last week that I decided to do a second piece on it, on a larger scale (A2 sized, 16.5 x 23.5 inches) and in a different medium.

I used dry pastels for this one.

The yellow shades on the image below are created by the afternoon sunlight.
