10.1.10

Went shopping in town on my own for the first time since I became a Mummy! Predictably, I didn’t find any trousers that looked normal on me. But I did come home with some new cardigans and jumpers from the H & M sale – all grey and purple. Noticed that every other person is wearing a downfilled puffer style coat with faux fur-trimmed hood. I’d wanted one too, what with all the cold weather, but the more people I saw wearing them, the less I wanted one. Fashion has that effect on me. The freeze is starting to thaw anyway.

Mmm, grey and purple sounds really nice - I'm imagining stripes, which is probably just because I LOVE STRIPES, but even without being stripes I'm sure what you found is fab. :) I must admit that I too have the fashion aversion thing going on. Even if you really like the item, you'll end up looking like a sheep if everyone else has one and it's The Trend...

I love stripes too Em. And grey and purple, in fact today I'm wearing grey leggings and a stripey grey and purple top ;)

Tammy I desperately need to go clothes shopping - I'm very aware of the fact that I go back to work in (eeek) 5 weeks and barely have any respectable clothes that fit me. I keep meaning to get out to the sales but all this snow has kept me away, and by the time I go there'll be nothing left.

Lucky you having an H&M though, our nearest is 50 miles away.

That's the thing about London - never too far away from shops!

Although I do love stripes, I didn't get anything stripey this time. Came away with two grey things and two purple things.
