30.6.10 ~ 150 word diary

Busy day. No-pom-bears-for-breakfast related tantrum before nursery. Even if he can name them and his pronunciation is oh-so-adorable! Counselling was tearful and revelatory. Then off to Springfield Park to meet the lovely meandering-mother and her sweet-natured Jessie. Small boy was tired and cried when I told him off about sand throwing. As tantrums go, it was rather adorable. As I was wiping the sand off his face, he grabbed the cloth and rubbed it into the grass next to us, his little face cross, his eyes defiant, his lower lip jutting out, tears running down. Then banging a juice bottle so it spilled. I bundled him into his pram and he didn’t protest. We walked along the canal, chatted, saw a swan family, stopped to have ice cream, and when Jake started strapping himself into his pram, we said goodbye to Jessie and her Mum. He was asleep within minutes.

It was a lovely afternoon, we'll have to do it again soon! It was a sweet tantrum and at least he didn't wee on you....
