Weekend Diary

3 & 4 July 2010

It’s been a week of buses. So many friends in one week. S came round today with her 6 month old. The last time I saw her she was on maternity leave. He’s lovely but I’d forgotten what hard work babies can be. It was a bit of a shock, being reminded. Just spending a couple of hours together stressed me out. I thought yoga would be relaxing but Hayley was relentless. It was one of her hardest classes yet. I could barely walk at the end of it. To restore my strength I was forced to have a Solero.

I was torn between going out with Paul & Jake to Tate Modern and the Southbank and staying at home and having a day off. I plumped for the day off. We’ve had so many days out lately, it’s been a tiring, eventful week and we’re taking Jake to the zoo tomorrow. So, I got some list items done, including ordering Jake’s 2nd birthday presents. He’s getting a scooter, a Thomas book and two Mr Tumble DVDs. Also watched the season finale of Glee and singing along badly to Over The Rainbow, which I now want played at my funeral.

It sounds like it's been a fun week! :) I've had quite a lot to catch up on because our internet dongle thing hasn't been working for four days.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who already has figured the music for their funeral! I'd like "(Hey Man) Now You're Really Living" by the Eels, and "Do You Realise" by the Flaming Lips. Though now you've mentioned Over the Rainbow, it doesn't sound a bad idea either!

Anyhow, Jake's birthday niceness sounds lovely! I have a little package here to send him, will be posting it over the next few days.
