7.6.10 ~ 100 word diary

Being with Jake today made me nervous. I’m not used to this wilful Jake. I had no strategies and felt incompetent. So I decided to go with the flow. It resulted in finding a new “game” for him while I was tidying – a spray bottle with water. And after a two hour play in the playground, a mini-tantrum after we got home (when I took his shoes off) and then again at naptime, when I decided not to bring him back to his bed, my flow-going self found him like this. Staying calm helps. And sometimes, doing nothing pays off.

My lovely husby just reached over and pointed at Jake's t-shirt and said "Could he be wearing a more appropriate t-shirt? No!".

Gorgeous photo.

I think flow-going is the way to be. And I'm adopting that phrase to help keep me all zen-like through the hard times ;)
